I want some advice or starting point where to begin ...
My problem is...
We have AD domain network in our company and all PC are with Win7 + Office 2010. And all this customization should be deployed to all PC automatically.
We need ribbon/toolbar in Word (in future maybe Excel and Powerpoint too) with some buttons. Each button makes custom predefined header/footer to current document. (Different on first page.) And created documents can only be with extensions .docx or .doc (eg. no macros in documents).
I hope I can create macros for creating headers and footers.
But question is how to customize Word to create new ribbon with custom buttons automatically? Creating custom add-in? Modifying normal.dot? or some other solution? What is best practice for this kind problem: customizing office over domain network.
I have few experience with Office programming.
